Esther Strong Rogers

Esther Strong Rogers died peacefully December 6, 2003 in Rochester, New York.  She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, George Bernard Rogers; daughter, Elizabeth (Richard) Church; grandchildren, Mary, 8,  and John, 5 1/2; brother, Milton J. (Rosalie) Strong; sister, Joyce Palmer, both of Illinois, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Pre-Med B.S. graduate of De Paul University, Esther worked as an Analytical Chemist in St. Louis.  She was an accomplished pianist, avid gardener, golfer, lover of travel and outdoors, a gracious entertainer, seamstress and lifelong church worker.  Outgoing and bubbly, she had many friends.  Esther was an inspiration to her daughter and many others.
Friends were invited to her Memorial Service on Saturday, December 13 at 11 a.m. at Asbury First United Methodist Church, 1050 East Ave., Rochester, NY  14607.  Private interment was at White Haven Park. 
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute to the Memorial Fund of Asbury First UMC.
